In a tent on the Mendocino headlands, the Mendocino Music Festival presents extraordinary music in a spectacular setting. Evenings include breathtaking concerts featuring the glorious Festival Orchestra, the popular Big Band concert, chamber music ensembles, dance, blues, jazz, world, and folk music. Days include lecture/recitals at the Piano Series, a children's matinee, performances by the Young Musicians, and chamber concerts at beautiful venues throughout Mendocino Village.

17th Annual Art in the Gardens

This event is hailed as one of the best garden parties on the Northern Coast, featuring over 60 artists and more than a dozen Mendocino County wineries. Spend the day sampling local culinary treats with some of the county's best wineries in the beautiful Botanical Gardens. There is a silent auction that offers pieces donated by local artists of all trades with all proceeds going to the Garden. Live music will be offered and tickets can be purchased in advance.

Winesong!

Winesong is a recognized charity wine auction and tasting. Always a sellout crowd of over 1,000 guests it has become one of the most spectacular and prestigious events on the Northern Coast. Winesong is located in the beautiful Mendocino Botanical Gardens and is a celebration of wine, food, music, art & giving. All proceeds benefit the Mendocino Coast Community Hospital. Mendocino Whale and Wine Festival
First Weekend in March
On Saturday, Mendocino County wineries bring their unique vintages for tasting to the village shops, galleries and inns. A free trolley offers rides to participating merchants and nearby events, such as local chowder tasting, whale watching walks and Mendocino County food product tasting. The Point Cabrillo Lighthouse, three miles north of Mendocino, offers activities for the whole family both Saturday and Sunday of both festivals, including games for kids, information on the shipwreck the Frolic, lighthouse history and gray whale migration. Take a walk on the Mendocino Headlands to see the whales or take a charter boat out to see them up close!

Fort Bragg Whale Festival
Third Weekend in March
The Fort Bragg Whale Festival brings regional microbreweries to town, offering their best pilsners, stouts and ales for tasting at historic Eagle's Hall. Other events include a 5K and 10K Walk and Run on the headlands, arts & crafts fair, chowder tasting, art exhibits and guided whale walks at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens and MacKerricher State Park. While in Fort Bragg, don't forget to plan a whale watching boat tour on the sea with Whale Watching Charter Boats out of Noyo Harbor. Also that weekend, the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse offers great activities for the whole family, including information on the migration of the gray whales, our gentle giants of the Pacific.

Mendocino Art Center's 16th Annual Garden Tour
